Gold Gold!
The conservative Bengali women of the Bengali community in India and across the globe seem to be obsessed about gold jewellery. Somehow accumulation of gold becomes some sort of a do-or-die task for most Bengali middle aged aunts who wish to get their daughters married in a costume comprising of a heavy traditional Bengali sari and with complimentary traditional gold jewellery to the extent that the bride seems to be almost carrying the weight of gold all over her right from her head down to her toes. It is like a ritual to amass gold among Bengali women. This is a fact that stands true for other communities too but with the Bengalis it seems like a thing of tradition!

Comeback of the 80's!
Fashionistas can’t seem to get the best of the season just yet and are still sticking to semi precious stones and beads to team up with the ever-favourite capris and denims. Inexpensive gems seem to be the mantra of the workingwomen and more and more beads and bangles are making inroads into the closets of women working awkward hours.
